For the straps, is the stud you put them on dependent on the chassis, or the frame? Like if you're putting a top on an NA car, but using an NB frame, do you use studs 4+10, or studs 3+11?

I was wondering, why not destroy the old soft top for easy access and ventilation?

I have an NA with a NB softop with glass. Which pig tail do I need? Do I need to buy both so i can mix them?

I have a question. I removed the bottom trim piece from the windshield to repaint it. I needed to replace the gasket that runs along that trim piece. I bought that and put the gasket on my repainted trim piece. But now when i screw the trim piece back in, the gasket and trim dont hug the window. There are gaps. Can you please tell me what am i doing wrong? Thanks

Hello, excellent video, do you hear a question? To install CAS 1.8 do I have to time the engine??

I am pretty sure that this is the problem with my NA. The window does not lower completely and always sits crooked in the rails. It slopes down towards the back. And it's very stiff. I've tried everything to adjust the rails, but it's always crooked The bearings are there, but possibly deformed and this causes it to be crooked. I'll order the bearings and replace them. I'm curious but that's the last thing I can think of

Did you eventually have to switch out your clutch and flywheel shortly after this video? Or did your stock clutch and flywheel still last a long time after the clutch hydraulic refresh?

Car newb and first time Miata owner here. The previous owner took out the baby teeth to put an aftermarket grill over the "mouth" of the car. I prefer the stock look of the Miata, so I watched this video just to find out how the original tow hooks are bolted in before I go out and buy some OEM baby teeth.

That brackets tab for the cas is to keep the bolt holding the cas in place. In case it backs out, it won't back out far and still kinda do itd job prolly grt you home. Its a indicatiok of s bygone era where stuff was designed to not break down. And car manufacturers actually had consideration for the customer.

I turn on the ignition. I start the engine. I turn on the light. ..... a xenon headlight doesn't work!!!?? do you have a solution?

Man, i got rust where the rain gutter screw was, the one where you had a hard time taking out.

This vid is really helpful, thanks. Just cleaned the jet area out with wire and a load of gunk and water came out, as with yours. Will also need the new part like you did as it is missing this. Unfortunately still no water spraying out - I can hear the pump working so I guess it must be a hose problem somewhere along the system, so need to look into that now.

Thanks to you I finally removed the right-front-27-year-old babytooth. It was stuck behind the airduct but managed to get a wrench between it. Changed it for a nice Jass Performance tow hook!

The key information is presented well but this video could easily be half the length it is and still provide all the necessary information.

Easier to remove fuse from F8 and F12 location in engine bay fuse box. And dont lose clock or stereo settings by removing battery terminal. Although I've changed 100's of xenon bulbs, never disconnected anything and never had any issues 👍

Thanks for the xenon video. I can understand what you're saying first off. Funny how my 08 sidewalk conv. is alot like your wife's, like headlights in bonnet. That being said for those that don't know not all 08 models are the same like the struts are different. Give that vin# and tell the parts guy the base model mini is different than the base model convertible. I had a shop rip me off $600 in parts because he didnt know the difference from a Phillips or a flat head screw driver!Had to sue him and he left town in his flambo as fast as he could peddle. He was a hanging Chad! ❤Notta Miata, more Mini please! Thanks Ultramini.

Is the magnaflow better than oem cats? I need to replace a stock cat and want a quality cat, that hopefully flows more than stock, while still being a good catalyst

I also have a 97 Miata, and the check engine light is on. Everything works fine except the radio. Could the malfunctioning radio cause the check engine line to turn on?

Useful video. My ‘96 started to not disengage the clutch. No leaks so assumed the master cylinder. I swapped the “slave” cylinder at the same time even though I only have 40k miles on the car. This was a helpful video. Definitely worth getting the proper line wrench for the cables. You will need both deep and shallow sockets to do this job. Bleeding went better than I expected.
